The two days before the wedding we helped SvEny out with their wedding preparations. One of the days we went to a place, in a town Gresgen, where Sven said they have the best Cordon Bleu Schnitzel. A Cordon Bleu Schnitzel is pork, layered with cheese, layered with bacon, all breaded and pan-fried (you can google it if you want to see pictures). It is quite delicious. Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures from this place as they were taken with Sven's camera. The location was very nice, Gresgen is a small picturesque town with hills and a nice view. We ate out on the patio of the restaurant with Sven and Eny and their parents.
The day before the wedding we spent most of the day setting up at the wedding hall in Gresgen. It was a lot of work, although I would constantly joke about how German work was very easy, because it seemed like half of the time was spent standing around and drinking beer. For the wedding, there were several kegs of beer, bottles of beer, bottles of wine, hard alcohol, sodas, and water. They had the Cokes in glass bottles which Ilya liked. Also, we learned over the course of our stay in Germany, that it seems like Germans mostly drink sparkling water when they drink water. We had to have special accommodations when we wanted regular still water.
