The day of the wedding was an excellent day with the weather (the weather had mostly been in the 60's and cloudy, sometimes raining, during our trip, which is unusual for that time of the year) and with all of the festivities and ceremonies. Rebecca and I were very glad to have been a part of SvEny's special day.
In Germany, we learned that when getting married, the couple has to do a wedding ceremony at a government building. They can't just send in the paperwork to get a marriage license. So around 10am we went to the government building in Endenburg with the family, maid of honor, best man, and us. There was a small ceremony and some picture taking.

After the first ceremony we all headed to Gudrun's house (Eny's mother's) to have a few appetizers and drinks. More pictures were also taken while here.

Next we headed to a protestant church in Zell, where the large wedding ceremony with the priest was to take place. On the way over, Ilya got to ride in the expensive BMW with Sven and his best man. Us and a few others stopped at a local bar for a beer, then we headed to the church.
The ceremony in the church was very nice, even though we didn't really understand much (it was all in German) but we were able to get the gist of some of it. Ilya had agreed beforehand to do a speaking part along with some of the family members of SvEny. The speaking part was in German. Prior to the church part, Ilya had some people speak out the different words while writing it down phonetically so that it could be spoken as properly as possible. Ilya was told that he did a good job during the speaking part and that it was mostly understandable.
